Because Opposites Attract

(On me: Zara pants / UNIF tee / Forever 21 blazer / Cotton On beanie)
(On Naty: Sugarlips jacket / H&M skirt, tights, hat and shades / Bakers heels / Aldo bag)

A fun little photo shoot collaboration I did with Naty in Bryant Park, with my sister playing photographer. New York is known for its fabulous mix of street style looks and since we both live on opposite coasts, we wanted to showcase our different styles. I decided on a more edgy look and she went for a more chic in the city look. Even though we are dressed completely opposite, we are actually very much alike! She is my blogger twin and soul sister for life. I miss this day so much and can't wait for our next shoot when she comes to LA, so stay tuned!

All I Want for Christmas

                                             (Dress c/o Lulu's / Sam Edelman Pryce Pump / J.Crew earrings / Gifted bracelet)

Last week, I attended Two Point Oh LA's 3rd annual Snowball event (best blogger holiday party). It was a fun-filled day that started with a Styling Suite at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood. We enjoyed complimentary manicures from Bellacures, hair styling by Joico and a dress of our choice by Lulu's. Of course, me being a maxi lover, I immediately fell in love with this dream dress that is perfect for any holiday party and everything thereafter. The party continued that night at Couture Hollywood where Lulu's offered a spin-the-wheel contest to win either gift cards or an item of your choosing. I ended up winning an item and picked up an amazing leather peplum top that I'm excited to wear in a future post. We also got a goodie bag filled with items from Blistex, Crossroads Trading, Ella Moss, Joico, NYX Cosmetics, and Kama Sutra.

Needless to say, I got what I wanted for Christmas and more! Thank you TPOLA!

Eat your heart out!

(Cotton On beanie / UNIF tee from Nastygal / Forever 21 blazer / Zara pants / Vince Camuto boots)

Another round of pictures taken by my beautiful blogger friend Naty while roaming the freezing streets of New York. They say a picture says a thousand words and this clearly the case in all of mine! A few words that come to mind: cold, then sad, then happy, and then angry? haha! Perhaps the range of emotions on my face comes from my shirt saying, "I'm not sorry." I am relating to it a lot these days as I attempt to move forward from my own heartbreak. However, I have to say that even though my facial expressions say one thing, I was really enjoying every minute of it.

Four more days till Christmas and then a new year that I'm so looking forward to! Happy holidays everyone!

These boots were made for walking

(Nasty Gal hat / Forever 21 top / Forever 21 leather dress / Tights c/o Nylon Journal / Steve Madden boots / Silver spike bracelet and ring c/o Inspired Fashion / All other bracelets and heart ring- gifted)

This was the first outfit I wore in New York last week to meet Naty at the Sienna Ray pop-up store in Nolita. It was a fun-filled day browsing an amazing store filled with bags, shoes and an awesome array of sunglasses. But more importantly, I got to hang with my blogger twin!

I was actually carrying a pair of heels in my bag as a true New Yorker would, but ended up just staying in my comfy combat boots. As everyone may or may not know, walking in New York can be exhausting! Sticking to anything walkable with save you at the end of the day. Also, check out this amazing online store called Nylon Journal that carries the cutest socks, hosiery, knee-highs and legwear. My tights sure came in handy for my trip because it was beyond freezing!

I have loads of pics coming and more outfit posts from my trip! so please stay tuned! and thanks to Naty for taking these pics! xo

Moving On Up!

( Forever 21 beanie / Nasty Gal crop top / Forever 21 belt / Angels Everywhere skirt / Nasty Gal booties)

Wow! two weeks exactly since my last post and let me tell you, the worst two weeks of my life! From having my heart broken to a crazy amount of school work, I'm not sure how I'm still alive. That saying, "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger," sure is true. I'm realizing that things happen for a reason and life is way too short to be depressed. So I'm moving on and never looking back.

On a side note, I'm headed to New York this weekend for a nice little vacation to see my sister and I'll finally be meeting Naty from A Love Affair With Fashion. We've been blogger friends for quite sometime but haven't actually met. She's been such a great friend to me the past few weeks that honestly, I can't thank her enough. So stay tuned for our awesome photo shoot we have planned.

If you live in Cali and ever go to Sierra Madre, please stop by the cutest little boutique called Angels Everywhere. Not only is the owner, Tahia a doll, she has amazing taste in clothes.

One Fine Day

(One Grey day dress c/o Shop Excess Baggage / Nasty Gal Studded Bucket bag / Forever 21 knee-high socks / Blue spike bracelet c/o Inspired Fashion / Gold and black spike bracelet c/o Publik / Brandy Melville gifted gold skull bracelet and nail ring)

Don't let the name, One Grey Day fool you. The collection, available at Shop Excess Baggage, is quite amazing. The dress I'm wearing actually made for one fine day! It's also perfect for any occasion, dressed up or down. I went with a more dressed down look and added my favorite beanie to top it off. It's coming to the point where I just can't live without something on my head.

I'm pretty excited that I was able to blog about two looks this week! School has been super stressful and hectic so I apologize for my lack of posts. There is only three more weeks left of the semester, so I hope to blog a bit more during the winter break.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! If you plan on doing some online shopping today, check out Shop Excess Baggage! They are offering 20% off until Sunday and then 30% off on Monday! Plus, if you make a purchase, you may win a $500 gift card. Happy shopping!

For the love of: For Love and Lemons

(For Love and Lemons top c/o Shop Excess Baggage / Forever 21 shorts / Nasty Gal Carmen Floppy hat / Jeffrey Campbell Koons Pump / Silver bracelet and ring c/o Inspired Fashion)

In love with all things romantic which is why I had instant connection with, For Love and Lemons. They never seem to disappoint with their collections every season. My favorite has to be the bell-sleeved look that is on most of their tops and dresses. I also love that their favorite color seems to black which happens to be my favorite color. When in doubt, where black. Never gets old in my book.
