Here's looking @ you, Kid!

(Weird Science Reply Tee by Nasty Gal / The Kink denim by Nasty Gal / Betsey Johnson Fringe booties / Nasty Gal hat / Nasty Gal shades / Bag c/o of Baghaus)

This post is an ode to my favorite online retailer, Nasty Gal! I just can't stop wearing their stuff. Now I know what addicts go through! Can't stop and won't stop unless there is help! Maybe I should start "NG Anonymous?"

Okay, need I say more about this tee?! It's part of Nasty Gal's Fall 2012 collection called, "Weird Science." I literally stopped traffic and got many obscene yells just for this outfit post! But I'm not complaining, I actually knew it was going to happen even before getting there. I mean, it's Venice Beach! Home of all weirdos, foreigners and crazy beach goers. The Weird Science tee just blended in so perfect with the weird place that I knew what I was in for. Well worth it Nasty Gal, well worth it.

Still carrying my awesome, Baghaus Cammy bag! Have you read my interview yet? Check it out here

Backstage at the 2012 Emmys

This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to report backstage from the Emmys, as a contributing blogger for, The Icon Concierge. I got my makeup professionally done by Dinair and also I got to put my journalism skills to good use by interviewing and writing a review!

                                                                                      Check out the review here!!!

Here are some behind the scene looks of what wasn't shown, including my outfit!

Petite in the Kink

Help me out by hyping me out!

(The Kink jeans by Nastygal (here) / Nastygal hat (here) / H&M denim shirt / Forever 21 crop top / J.Crew belt / Jeffrey Campbell Litas / Vintage Gucci bag / Marc by Marc Jacobs cuff)

For me, being petite use to be a good thing and a bad thing. I would dream of being 5'10 and having really long legs. But alas, I'm not, and perfectly happy now! When my favorite online retailer, Nasty Gal, came out with their own line of jeans called, "The Kink," I knew I had to have a pair! However, I was worried that I wouldn't fit into them since the models on the site are super tall. I took a chance and purchased them anyway and guess what? I'm in love! They fit perfectly and have a just the right amount of stretch. They are also super high-waisted enabling you to wear them with just about anything and everything; crop tops, bodysuits, tucked in shirts...Just add a belt and you're set to go. If you love wearing denim, try them! you will not be disappointed. On another note, can the cold weather come already?!

I'm super excited right now because I had my very first interview with CocoKouture Magazine! Please check it out (here) and let me know what you think!

I also just launched a Facebook page and would love some more followers! Like my page (here) and let me know if you would like me to do the same!

One more thing: Right now at Steve Madden, save 20% off orders of $100 or more! Use code: SMFALL20. Click (here) to shop!

Thanks everyone! xo

A Fringed Night Out!

(Nastygal dress / Vintage Gucci purse / Vince Camuto boots / Forever 21 bracelets / Brandy Melville rings)

It was love at first sight when I saw this dress! and how perfect to wear to FNOLA! This was actually my first time attending and I had a blast! Met some amazing fashion bloggers and browsed a few stores I wouldn't normally go into. Here's a recap:

Met one of my favorite bloggers, Julie from Sincerely Jules, at Paige Denim on Robertson
Can I have everything at Chanel?! Amazing!
Mingled at Intermix on Robertson. Added a denim jacket to the dress for a more casual look.
The genius of Alexander McQueen! I swoon over his clutches. The gold detailing is perfection!

Lastly, the party of the night was at Paul Frank on Melrose! dim, sexy lights with bowls of candy and drinks to choose from. Oh and probably the best photo booth I've ever done; a catwalk, fans to blow out your hair and crazy, native props. What a way to end a night!

Once In A Blue Moon

(Vintage top / Forever 21 shorts / H&M belt / Nastygal hat / H&M socks / Vince Camuto boots / J.crew bracelet / Fossil watch / Vintage Bally purse)

Some words of advice from a girl who has the worst luck when it comes to getting haircuts, or anything beauty related; if you find a great stylist, get down on your knees and thank god! I for one, will no longer throw a tantrum because I found a stylist who will not give me the infamous 1994, "Rachel" haircut aka Jennifer Aniston from the T.V show, Friends. Not only does he do my once in a blue moon trim perfectly, he has just introduced me to the celebrity crazed, color technique called, Balayage. Balayage is French for “to sweep” where the color is applied by hand rather than using the traditional foil, creating an easy sun-kissed effect. I'm hooked for life! Thank you Christopher Nicholson aka Christopher Styles for turning my luck around! Check him out here if you live in the LA area.

Does everyone notice the difference in my hair?! thoughts?

I also just want to take a moment to reach out to my readers old and new, on what I try to accomplish on my blog and why I blog to begin with. I am student and a typical everyday girl who is always on a budget. I know that the majority of girls are in the same situation as me and that is exactly why I started blogging. I want to inspire girls to be themselves and have fun with fashion! Meaning, you don't always have to splurge to look great! In every outfit post I do, I'm always wearing something I've owned for quite sometime mixed with a new piece that didn't cost me more than $40-$50. I hope this encourages other girls to try and get creative by reusing their own pieces. For instance, this vintage top cost me $1 and the shorts were $20. The hat, belt and shoes have been in my closet for over a year and all were under $100. And, the vintage Bally? my mom's from the 70's. The positive feedback and lovely comments I've received thus far has been a reward in itself so, thank you!
