Trying to mix up my wardrobe with cooler and sexier pieces! when I saw this skirt from Threadsence called the "On the prowl" skirt I knew it would do the trick! and it's only $42! The crop top was only $7 from Forever 21 and of course, like I said, my Nasty Gal boots are in full affect!

Currently on the hunt for more sexier affordable pieces! I have one lined up next so stay tuned!

Casual Chic

I love lazy Sundays! sleeping in, eating brunch  and hanging with the family. Went outside for a bit to hang with the boy in the early evening and wanted to feel chic but casual. I've had these jeans since last year and have worn them a total of two times! (really Melanee?!) I just bought this crop top for only $20 at Cotton On and the two went perfectly together. What you can't tell from all of my posts is that I love jeans! I am THE jean girl and would prefer to wear them everyday. But dressing up is just way more fun!

Since I hate flats (because I'm only 5'2), I wore my versatile 5inch platforms from Steve Madden (that I stalked for months until they were restocked!) and added one of my Vintage Gucci bags that matched perfectly. I piled on all the gold starting with my favorite Vintage gold choker that actually ended up making the whole outfit. Jewelry really does make a difference!

 I'm not sure if you have noticed but the American flag is on everything! shorts, shirts, denim, shoes, etc!!! this one was pretty inexpensive from Urban for only $59. I'm really loving this trend and I'm on the hunt for my next piece!

But my favorite part of this outfit are my shoes!! They are simply perfect with the fringe detailing on the side with not too high of a wedge that is easy for everyday wear. I purchased them from Nasty Gal and since they can do no wrong in my eyes, the $150 I had to save was worth every penny!

Get use to seeing them, I will be posting about them quite often!

Kimono's

Yesterday was a beautiful easy breezy day in LA so I went with an easy breezy outfit. I've been searching for the perfect kimono for months now but all the ones I wanted were over $100 like ( this one ) by UNIF and
 ( this one ) by For Love and Lemons. So when I came across this Tye-dye one from Cotton On and saw that is was only $25, I knew it was perfect! They also had a leopard one and one other color in case you guys are interested. Go check them out! But if you have the money, I don't blame you for wanting the expensive ones! They are to die for!

Jewelry Fiend

Animal

This bathing suit top is way to cute to just wear to the pool! So I decided to wear it as a crop top with a denim shirt tied at the waist to give it a more feminine look. I've worn these pants before (here) and they're simply amazing!

Floral with an edge

I love this skirt that I purchased from Zara a few weeks back. It's high-waisted which is my favorite fit of the moment. Since I am bottom heavy, it really slims me down and makes me look long and lean. Not to mention it covers my thighs but makes my butt look really good! =)

 I've worn it for a previous blog post (here) but with a simple, more classic twist. I really wanted to toughen it up this time and this jacket from Zara really did the trick. How amazing is this jean jacket with leather sleeves?!!!  I then added my chunky JC platforms and created an edgy arm party with black and silver pyramid studs and my favorite go-to spike bracelet.

Oh and how could I forget to mention the orange crop top from F21 that is only $5! go get yours now in the Heritage section!

I put this arm party together because of my current obsession with turquoise!  The cuff was a recent vintage find that I happily added to my collection.  So this was definitely the piece that I wanted to surround the rest of my bracelets with.  I chose the rest keeping with the turquoise and silver and added a ring to match.
