OOTD in SWELL.com, Linea Pelle and Pylo

Photography by Crystal Kong

Love, love, love weekend looks. This one is probably one of the easiest styles I've put together in awhile! SWELL.com carries my favorite type of dresses; pretty but versatile enough to add my usual edgy touch (hence the studded belt and fringe bag), bell sleeves to make me feel like I'm channeling the 70's and a flowy femininity to make me want to twirl like a girly girl. Easy, breezy!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

OOTD in Charlotte Russe, JustFab and ShopSosie

(Charlotte Russe necklace similar here / Leather jacket (old) / Charlotte Russe bag similar here

Feeling a little girly lately in skater skirts, flowy tops and pretty jewelry pieces. Of course, I had to edge it up a bit with a leather jacket and black platform sandals. It just wouldn't be me without it! That's what's great about a skater skirt. It's so versatile, that the sky's the limit! Not only that, it makes my thick legs look slimmer. Win-win! By the way, how adorable it this top with the bow in the back? Check out more cute affordable items at ShopSosie.

OOTD: Fields of Color with SWELL.com

Photography by Crystal Kong

My flower explosion continues on the blog today! I spent the day in a field of flowers with my blogger friend, Crystal. It was an hour and half drive from LA and definitely worth every minute. I decided beforehand that I wanted to be a chameleon in training, so I wore my new floral dress from SWELL to blend into my surroundings. With all these flowers I'm posting about, it's bound to work right?! It's not over yet either so I still have time...stay tuned!

OOTD: Flower Explosion in Dailylook, Zara and JustFab

Photography by Natalee Shale

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll notice a trend forming in most of my pictures. I'm calling it a flower explosion since I can't seem to get enough of it. It's not only the clothes I'm wearing but behind me, in front of me and down below. I have an excuse though and it's definitely the case of spring fever! Stay tuned for my next post, as I'm literally in a field of color. A field of flowers, that is! Follow me on Instagram @melanee if you're not already. Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Coachella Diary

(Forever 21 sandals / Forever 21 hat / Pylo fringe bag)

Welcome to my Coachella diary from last weekend! I went with a group of about 8 bloggers to check out the scenery and of course, the event scene. Our first stop was the Ace Hotel where we attended the Marc by Marc Jacobs Eyewear event and Two Point Oh's Blogger lounge. It consisted of DIY's, braid bars and a giant pool party. I wanted to keep my look comfortable but on trend so I wore a crochet top and denim cut-offs on top of my Pily Q bikini.

Then it was off to our next stop... The Harper's Bazaar Pop-Up Shop at the Parker Palm Springs Hotel...

I've been to Palm Springs many times and I have to say that the Parker is probably my favorite hotel by far! The Palm trees, the gorgeous lawns and the decor was just amazing. I got a little bit more comfortable and decided to bare all in my Pily Q bikini. I lounged back and basked in the sun for quite some time. Can this happen everyday?!

Next up was the Old Navy Oasis event where we braved a sandstorm for a heavenly Oasis out in Indio....

I did an outfit change that was perfect for this event and to end the day in. The scenery was spectacular and the amenities to die for! Why oh why did it have to be so sandy and windy?! It was definitely worth braving out for though! I got to hear Young the Giant perform Cough Syrup and hang out in a teepee. When do you see that everyday?!

Out last stop was at the Forever21 #Cranechella event where we sipped on some bubbly and danced till our tired feet couldn't dance anymore...

It was an amazing time and I can't wait to go back again with all my girls next year!  Hope you guys enjoyed my pics!

I Got You BABE

Photography by Natalee Shale

Sometimes a girl just needs to rock a cool graphic tee.  Specifically ones that make you feel like a total babe. Paired with a great pair of pants and even better accessories and you have yourself one hell of an easy outfit. Speaking of accessories, how amazing is my blue metallic clutch from RoviMoss?  I think I'm in love.
