Proactiv Review

Talking a little beauty on the blog today and trying Proactiv from Facing Acne.

Proactiv is one of the world’s largest producers and marketers of products for acne-prone skin.

The Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Cleanser and Repairing Moisturizer all aid in the treatment of Acne.

I've been a long time fan of Proactiv since it helped clear my skin in my late twenties. I never had acne as a teen so when I got it when I was about twenty seven I freaked out! I immediately tried every face wash, lotion, pimple medication known to man but nothing worked. Then my dad said he always saw Proactiv helping people on television and even though I don't believe anything I see on t.v., I decided to give it a try.

After a few weeks I started to notice a difference. The Renewing Cleanser gave me less acne because of the salicylic acid ingredient that provided a rough texture like a peel. The toner made me skin really dry so I decided to stop using it and stuck with just the cleanser and moisturizer. As months and years went by, my break outs became less and less to gradually non existent. My friends would always ask me how my skin looked so good. I would say, Proactiv!

I'm excited to share my experience with you today because I'm extremely passionate about this product. Not only did it help clear my skin, it gave me my confidence back. I used to hide behind my hair and now I don't have to. If you suffer and want clearer skin, I definitely recommend Proactiv.

Spring Menu Tasting at Fig & Olive

Photos c/o Wagstaff Worldwide

I've been told for awhile now that I should be a food blogger, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and do my very first food post. There's no better meal to highlight first than this one at Fig & Olive.

I was lucky enough to attend their spring tasting a couple weeks back. The night started with rounds of delicious cocktails, freshly baked focaacia with an array of olive oils and different crostinis to choose from. We continued with a delicious Burrata and Heirloom Tomato Caprese then moved on to a main course of your choice. I, of course, picked the Fig and Gorgonzola Risotto because it's usually my go-to when I see it on any menu. I also got the chance to sample both my neighbors dishes consisting of Salmon and the Rosemary Lamb-chops which were both heavenly. When I thought I couldn't take one more bite, a Panna Cotta a L'Orange was brought out as dessert that took my breath away.

Needless to say, it was a great night, in amazing company accompanied by delicious food. I went
home a very happy girl. Thank you to Wagstaff Worldwide for the invite!

OOTD: White Out

Photography by Crystal Kong

I just realized I let another few weeks go by without blogging. I still haven't shared by Japan photo diary and a few new outfits. In my defense, my work life took over! But I'm back, and ready to share, share, share!

I've never really been a fan of all white unless I have a serious summer tan going on. However, this two piece number by Stella & Jamie just couldn't wait to be styled. All white is right on trend and an easy, chic and classic ensemble. The most difficult part of this look? Pairing it with these mauve lace-up heels. The struggle is real to put those bad boys on, especially if the strings are uneven. I know you know what I'm talking about ladies! But, they do complete my outfit perfectly.

Stay tuned for more looks, food and travel coming to the blog.
