How to Throw an epic Bachelorette Party in Los Angeles

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Party City and InterContinental Hotels and Resorts. The opinions and text are all mine.

Your big day is around the corner and all the pieces are coming together, but if you’re like most girls you’re not just planning your wedding, you’re also planning other events for you and your best gals to celebrate your pending nuptials. Whether it’s your bridal shower or a sure-to-be wild bachelorette party, there’s so much to get excited for leading up to your wedding! Thanks to Party CityInterContinental Hotels and Resorts and ShopStyle, I was able to throw an epic bachelorette weekend with my bridal party. It’s always a fun time with my girls, but what made it special was having us all together in a great location with the perfect bachelorette décor and props to make it complete. Below you will find a list of my tips from picking a location to props that get the party going and to planning an itinerary to help you throw the perfect bachelorette weekend.

Location and accommodations:

Since the majority of my bridal party and I live in Los Angeles, The InterContinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles was a great location for all of us to get together for an exciting weekend. For me, less travel to a destination meant more quality time together and allowed us to explore all that the hotel and city had to offer! I also thought that since I’m having a destination wedding in Italy, having a local bachelorette party would be best. If you’re currently planning your bachelorette party and want to have it in Los Angeles, I can’t recommend The InterContinental Hotel enough. Not only does the InterContinental offer luxurious and sophisticated accommodations, it’s situated next to all the new trendy shopping, dining and nightlife areas. Here’s more information on the hotel and its offerings:

About the accommodations: InterContinental Hotel is a new luxury hotel located in Downtown Los Angeles situated high above the city at 73 stories high with breathtaking 360-degree views of the city. This cosmopolitan hotel offers large spacious rooms, each with amazing views of Los Angeles. I was so impressed with the beautiful modern décor, comfortable beds, room service and mini bar amenities. A huge plus was the large marble bathroom that were perfect for all of us to get ready in together.

Dining & Bar options: The hotel has several dining options with a variety of delicious cuisines so you can try something new each night you’re there. We had a chance to visit a few of the restaurants and I’ve listed more about them individually below:

La Boucherie: This American steakhouse sits high on the 72nd floor boasting panoramic views of the L.A. skyline. It’s menu features classics such as steaks and seafood, created with the finest ingredients from around the world. We didn’t get to try this restaurant, but it’s on my list to go back and experience.

Dekkadance: Located on the 69th floor, Dekkadance offers a unique farm-to-fork international dining experience featuring globally-inspired entrées changing daily as well as carving stations, seafood, brick oven-fired pizzas, cheese & charcuterie, house-made desserts, and more. This was our go-to place each morning for breakfast during our stay and it also provided a great opportunity to hand out my bridal party gift bags.

Sora: Sora is an intimate sushi and omakase restaurant offering a refined menu of fresh-cut sushi and prepared dishes presented on the sky-view conveyor belt with bar seating. Since Sushi is one of my favorite cuisines, I picked this as our Saturday night dining option. It was so delicious that I’m going to go back and bring my fiancé to try it!

Spire 73: Located on the 73rd floor is Spire 73 – the tallest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere. This rooftop lounge offers breathtaking views of the entire city with delicious signature cocktails. Watching the sunset before dinner here on Saturday evening was magical.

Lobby Lounge: Located on the 70th floor, the Lobby Lounge offers guests an upscale lounge experience with a vodka bar at night, serving light snacks, burgers and sandwiches. When we arrived Friday evening, we were looking for a quicker dining experience so we chose this spot to meet and go over the weekends plans!

No Dive Bar: Enjoy outdoor cocktails and poolside fare, located on the 7th floor rooftop. On Saturday after breakfast, we wanted to do a quick tour of the hotel and came across this cute bar by the pool. We had a quick drink before heading to our next stop on the itinerary.

InterContinental Hotels and Resorts is offering a special promotion that I want to share with you all! Book early and you can save 15% off your room rate. Not only is it a great deal, you receive all the benefits you love when you book directly with IHG. Visit this link to reserve.

Décor and Props you need for an epic bachelorette party:

I chose all my décor and props from Party City and went with a pink/rose gold theme. Party City is the go-to for memorable celebrations, with a great assortment of supplies that fit any style and budget. Party City met all my Bachelorette party needs! If you’re like me, creating a theme for your events is important. From tabelware to balloons and even games I was able to find the perfect décor to compliment my theme. My favorite was the cute photobooth props  and the champagne bottle confetti poppers! Below is a list of all the items I picked:

My favorite of all the props! We had so much fun popping them and watching the confetti fall. We couldn’t stop laughing!

Love the design of these cups and wine glass! Perfect for a celebratory cheers!

Always fun with photobooth props!

Same design as the cups and photobooth props! Love that Party City carries the same design for numerous products.

Can you tell I love pink? These napkins and forks were the perfect addition.

Balloons are always a must! Party City carries the best collection of balloon kits.

This was so fun to play! True test to see if my girls really know me. They did pretty good!

Loved this game because you write down your own truth or dare ideas!

Here’s my theme again with these cute paper fan decorations. They were a perfect backdrop for our photobooth!

Felt like a beauty queen in this sash! Picked it in pink, of course!

My girls loved their Party City Bachelorette gift bags and their gifts, of course! They are the perfect medium sized bag to hold many gifts like jewelry, candy, candles and more.

Itinerary: I like to stick to an itinerary so we can have the perfect mix of relaxing and party time. I didn’t want the girls to feel overwhelmed with too much of this and too little of that. Finding the perfect balance is key to any weekend trip! Here is the itinerary we followed:

Friday:
6pm   | Check-in and set-up
7pm   | Bridal party arrived
8pm   |Dinner and drinks at the Lobby Lounge
10pm |Late night room service and movie night

Saturday:
11am |Breakfast at Dekkadance.
1pm   |Pool with drinks at No Dive Bar
2pm   |Explored downtown Los Angeles’ shopping experiences. The hotel is across from the and Fig Shopping center and The Bloc.
4pm   |Relaxed and chatted in our rooms
6pm   |Drinks at Spire 73
8pm   |Dinner at Sora
10pm |Explored downtown Los Angeles. The hotel is close to all the downtown nightlife, so we made a few stops throughout the night.

Sunday:
10am- Breakfast at Dekkadance
12pm- check-out

I feel so blessed to have the most amazing group of girls who celebrated all weekend long with me. Thanks to Party City for all the fun décor and props and thanks to InterContinental Hotels and Resorts for the amazing accommodations and amenities. It was definitely an epic Bachelorette weekend I will always remember!

Clarks Shoes- Fall Must-Have Boots for Him and Her

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Clarks and Zappos. The opinions and text are all mine.

Fall is my favorite fashion season especially when it comes to footwear because I love wearing boots.  You can always find my fiancé and I walking around Los Angeles either running errands or playing with our dog at a local dog park. While we both love to be stylish, we agree that it's important for us to wear comfy shoes on a daily basis. That's why I was so excited to partner with Clarks and Zappos again, this time highlighting our new go-to boots for fall. I love that Clarks collection of shoes prioritizes comfort while keeping a sharp eye on trends.

This past weekend we decided to explore Pasadena, one of my favorite cities in Los Angeles. We styled our go-to weekend looks with Clarks new fall boots. For me, walking in comfort means a  flat heeled boot paired with key wardrobe pieces that never go out of style. I put this look together with that exact thought in mind pairing my Clarks Clarkdale Arlo boots with dark denim and a cardigan. I love that the shoe has a long, slim front that helps to elongates my legs and that they are easy to pull on underneath my jeans. I also picked the dark tan suede color because it pairs perfectly with any look.

You can always catch Raphe in a pair of dark denim and a long sleeve sweater during the colder seasons. He paired this look with Clarks Atticus Limit boots that is a beautiful shade of dark tan leather and can be worn with most outfits because the color is extremely versatile. They always say after you start dating someone for awhile, you start to unintenionally coordinate outfits and style. This is definitely the case for him and I as we did not intend to color coordinate our boots, jeans and tops!

Whether you're creating a look for work or weekend, Clarks carries fall shoe styles you need for every occasion without sacrificing quality. From dressing them up for a night on the town, to keeping things casual for a day out, there’s nothing your Clarks can’t do. They carry a shoe for every style and fit for everyone and most importantly, are sold online at Zappos.

As an avid online shopper, I always go to Zappos to find new favorites. Not only do they carry most brands, shipping is fast and free, the customer service is outstanding and they offer a 365-day return policy. It's perfect for men and women with a busy lifestyle!

If you're in need of a shoe update for fall and are looking for something trendy yet comfortable, check out Clarks via Zappos.

Wedding Invitations from Minted

So excited to share our wedding invitations from Minted today! Minted has an amazing array of invitations from different designers that are all beautiful and unique. I had never ordered invitations before so it was a shock to learn about all the different types of paper, fonts styles, colors, designs, and even presentation styles. With so many wonderful options to choose from, trying to narrow down  the best option took some time for us. Honestly, they're all beautiful so how do you pick just one?!

Our decision finally came down to our wedding location. Since we're having a destination wedding in Italy, it was best to pick one that allowed for a lot of information. I also wanted an invitation that we could customize and use images from our engagement photo shoot with our dog, Bodhi. Since Bodhi can't fly with us to Italy, I wanted him to be a part of our celebration somehow. After all, he is my fur baby! We finally came across Minted's mini-book invitation that included four pages, easily allowing us to put in all the information needed and with the ability to use our own images. We were sold!

There are a few options of mini-book designs so we went with a very simple, clean and white design with an elegant, cursive font. Not too masculine, not too feminine, it was perfectly in-between. On the first page, we decided on a family photo with Bodhi with our names displayed along with the wedding date.

The second page, we used an image of the location we're getting married at in Orvieto, Italy which is in the wine region of Umbria. We included details of where, when and the dress code.

The third page we included details for our guests regarding the welcome party and more information on the actual wedding including the address.

The last page included another image with Bodhi and text pointing our guests to our wedding website, which provides them with lots of travel tips and more details on how to best utilize their time in Italy.

For the RSVP card, we went with a simple design again using a bold font and gold foil lettering.

Lastly, Minted offers a great selection of customized stamps through Stamps.com. We picked one for the invitation envelope using an image of us in Positano, Italy when Raphe proposed to me last year. For the return envelope, we went with a simple design using our initials, M&R and our wedding date.

Overall, it was a very exciting process for us to create our wedding invitations from Minted. We've already received positive feedback from a few of our guests that they are the coolest invitations they've ever seen. I want to send a big thank you to Minted for gifting them to me and if you're looking for invitations for your wedding or any other event, Minted is the place to look.

Yes, I said it! This is the dress you need for all occasions. A perfect shade of blue that can be worn for a day-time event or an evening party. Love the slit in in the front, and the ruffled layers that perfectly flows as you walk. I have to say that it's my most complimented dress each time I've worn it! I paired it with nude accessories but don't be afraid to wear it with white accessories even though it's after Labor Day. I definitely don't follow that rule, do you?

If you have never shopped at ChicWish I recommend you do so now! Their new collection of fall items include not just dresses but the cutest sweaters, jackets, skirts and more. Summer Dress from Chicwish

It was love at first sight when I spotted this dress on the Chicwish website a few weeks ago! I had a two events to attend and thought it would be perfect to wear for both occasions. I decided to pair it with nude heels and matching bag! What I love about this dress is how comfortable the material is and how it's not super tight on your body. I love living in my hometown of Los Angeles because the weather is perfect year round. Which means, I don't have to pack this dress away just yet! I will probably keep wearing it into the fall season by pairing it with a long coat for a girls night out.
