Vancouver Part 1: The Douglas Vancouver

Hotel accomodations c/o the DOUGLAS Autograph Collection in Vancouver

I just returned from my amazing trip to Vancouver and Whistler in B.C! I had the opportunity to stay at one of Vancouver's newest boutique hotels for two nights called the DOUGLAS.

Situated in the entertainment district in between Yaletown and Gastown and inside the Parq Vancouver, the DOUGLAS is definitely the place to be seen amongst the millennial crowd.

The decor was delightfully urban with a mix between nature and city. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful from the moment we stepped out of the cab, all the way up to the check-in counter. Our room was on the highest floor with an amazing view of the city that I couldn't stop staring out of. The high rises in Vancouver are definitely a sight to see if you've never been. The best part of the room was the bed! It was one of the most comfortable I've laid in in along time and provided the best sleep with no interruptions. Also, the bathroom with marble and wood decor plus the Aesop amenities was a huge bonus.

Let me also mention how delicious our room service breakfast was. I tried the wheat pancakes with bacon and fruit while Raphe enjoyed eggs with toast. Yummy!

My favorite moments were captured in their infinity elevator which we heard is also a local favorite. I couldn't stop myself from taking selfies every time we stepped in.

Another favorite was the D/6 Bar and Lounge located on the same floor as the front desk. The room was hip and vibrant, filled with leather decor, a pool table, a stellar wine glass shelf and awesome views of the city. We got lost in this room taking numerous pictures as it was truly photo worthy.

On Sunday morning, we had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious breakfast at Honey Salt compliments of Parq Vancouver. I have to say their smoked salmon plate (my favorite breakfast dish) was the best I've ever had. The decor embodied classic comfort meets a relaxed sophistication with mint green booths, white walls and and natural light. They also had a side room with pink and floral sofas with eclectic wall decor. I didn't get a chance to snap a pic as it was all seated with guests. I definitely have to reserve a table in there next time!

Thank you to the DOUGLAS for an incredible stay, I will be back soon. Stay tuned for Vancouver part two! I'll be sharing all the sites we saw before heading out to Whistler.

Thanks for stopping by!
