Fairmont Grand Del Mar

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip Easter weekend to the beautiful Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. We left early Friday morning to avoid L.A. traffic and got there in a short two hours. Upon arriving, I was in heaven! I quickly named the hotel the "Pink Palace" and proceeded to call it that the entire weekend.

We were greeted warmly by the entire staff, and couldn't have loved the room and amenities more. The property is simply gorgeous with 249 rooms, two swimming pools, a gorgeous fountain, restaurant and golf course. Over the two nights we were there, we enjoyed one of their pools, relaxed and toured the property (gelato and camera in hand!) and ordered a delicious room service breakfast. My boyfriend is a huge golf fan and I was able to surprise him with a round of golf on our second day there. I was so happy to make one of his dreams come true. In the evenings, we ventured into downtown San Diego and the beach areas which is about 20 minutes away from the hotel. When we would return, chocolate covered Oreos would be by our bedside waiting for us. So delicious!
